About the Class

In this hands-on cutting class, you’ll create two complete looks:

The Cuts

• A dimensional, layered haircut

• A modern, structured bob

We’ll break down everything from building a clean, strong line to understanding layering techniques and internal structure—giving you the confidence to approach haircutting with intention and a deeper level of understanding.

What will be covered:

• Creating a precise perimeter

• What layers actually do (and how to use them correctly)

• Weight distribution + balance

• Shape, movement, and structure

• Face framing + bangs included!

Tools + Experience

Hattori Hanzo will be providing a limited number of demo shears that will be passed around during class, giving you the opportunity to experience the tools firsthand.

• Limited to 15–20 attendees (to keep it intimate + hands-on)

What to Bring

• Scissor kit

• Favorite cutting combs (fine-tooth combs not recommended)

• Tripod

• Mannequin prepped and ready (shampooed and pre-blown dry + smooth — no flat iron)

• Cutting clips

• Styling tools for finishing

Hanzo combs will be available for purchase on-site.
